Biography

Gareth Green

Has 35 years experience as a private teacher.

Has experience as a School Director of Music and now offers support & professional development opportunities for teachers.

Examines for ABRSM. Also a Moderator, a Trainer & an International Coordinator.

Is Musical Director of “Music Matters”.

Is an experienced performer as an organist, pianist and conductor across Europe, Asia and the USA.

Teaches in his home Studio & around the country.

Holds a DBS certificate in relation to working safely with children. 

 

Has undertaken many conducting and playing engagements with the BBC and with other broadcasting companies.

Has released various recordings, including “English Organ Music” (Naxos).

Has worked for many years as accompanist to and soloist alongside the renowned French trumpeter, Pascal Geay.

Is a published composer and holds the FLCM in Composition.

Is an experienced Adjudicator.

 

Won the Dixon & Turpin Prizes for FRCO at the age of 18.

Held Organ Scholarships at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, Oxford University, and Canterbury Cathedral.

Studied at Worcester College, Oxford University & at The Royal College of Music, London.

 Was Assistant Organist at Wakefield Cathedral during the early 1980’s.

 

Lives in South Yorkshire. Is married with 4 children. Enjoys travelling, swimming and reading.
